Welcome back reviewers! Today’s teacher review is ties! Although we only received male faculty submissions, we were still able to get a good gallery. Before we start, I want to preface by stating I asked for the ties to be pulled out of the jackets. This was a concern I was asked to address from some participants. Enjoy!
To kick us off, we have Mr. Lauriston’s purple, blue, and white flower tie! This is a very classy tie, we would expect nothing less from our physics teacher, and matches the shirt well. It’s very versatile, which is definitely a plus. Solid 7/10.
Second, Mr. I with a classic Star Wars tie! He took me into his office and pulled it out of a big bag of ties, bonus points for the practicality. Although I’m not a huge fan of the series, this tie is quite the novelty and I’ve never seen anything like it. For originality, 8/10.
Next, we have some patterned ties, starting with Mr. Gray and his square tile geometric piece. I like the simplicity, yet varied design. So far, this is the one clothing item not “dad” from Mr. Gray, so I’m excited to see a new style from him! 6/10.
Moving along, the next pattern is Mr. Hayden’s gray with white polka dots tie. I’m a big fan of the woven texture, simplicity, and mix-and-match-ability of this one. Although it isn’t his infamous unicorn tie, this one is still nice. 5/10.
Furthermore, Dr. Bonner’s patterned tie features fish and sharks. How fitting for the biology teacher and swim coach! I like the complementary colors of the navy background and peach colored fish, it’s really pleasant. 7/10 for the colors!
In the final science department submission, Dr. Seyfred is wearing a wonderful chemistry and biology themed tie! Despite not teaching biology, the DNA and nucleic acid structures on the tie, along with the microscopes, chemical tubes, and beakers, provide a nice balance and variety. 6.5/10.
In the final two submissions, there are lots of similarities between the design elements. First, Mr. Dennis with green paisley with blue labradors! The colors are really lovely and aesthetically pleasing to look at, so bonus points there. Personally, I don’t love paisley, but the dogs are a great balance to the pattern. Overall, I’m a huge fan! 9/10.
And finally, Mr. Lynn’s cool-toned tropical tie! While I really like the colors, I think the background is a tad busy and distracts from the flamingos; however, the tie matches extremely well with the whole outfit, meaning bonus points! 8.5/10, half a point off for the busyness.
Well, I sure was tied up over these scores! Congratulations to all the participants, here is the final ranking!
