Exactly one year ago Dr. Bonner, B.G.A’s beloved chemistry teacher turned convict, was found guilty of mass manufacturing toilet wine on campus. As a result, Bonner has been serving out a 15 year sentence in Alderson, West Virginia’s federal prison camp, which also happens to be the same prison Martha Stewart served in. For those concerned about how Bonner’s been adjusting to life in prison, sources say he’s been just fine. Alderson’s nickname is “Camp Cupcake”: the name says it all.
Despite living a relatively cushy life in prison, Bonner wasted no time in planning his escape. Upon the F.B.I’s investigation, it was revealed that shortly before his arrest Bonner struck a deal with the Bow Tie Bandits (B.T.B). The B.T.B., consisting of Mr. I, Mr. Lauriston, Dr. Kantor, Mr. McHugh and led by Dr. Seyfred, is the scientific mafia which has been running B.G.A since Bonner’s arrest. In exchange for supplying the B.T.B with unlimited toilet wine, the B.T.B granted Bonner asylum and unlimited protection.
Itching to get back to making toilet wine, Dr. Bonner and the B.T.B began plotting his escape. How Bonner’s plotting didn’t raise any red flags is beyond anyone as Dr. Bonner wasn’t exactly subtle in his planning. His search history, on the communal prison computers, included “escaping prison for dummies” and “infamous prison breaks”. Just like how he journaled his toilet wine recipe, Bonner chronicled his escape plan in his diary.
Bonner with the help of the B.T.B created an intricate series of tunnels under his shower drain, using the El Chapo method. However, in order to have the time to climb under the shower drain and meet the B.T.B on their motorcycles, Bonner had to orchestrate an elaborate distraction. Putting good use to his chemistry background, Bonner created a series of chemical explosions in the prison toilets, triggering the pipes to burst and flood the cells. With the guards and inmates occupied with the flooding, Bonner was able to lift the grate of his shower drain (which was modified to fit him) and climb down a set of wooden steps, where he met members of the B.T.B on motorcycles. Though no security cameras were able to capture Bonner’s escape, as they were literally underground in tunnels, forensic artists were able to create images replicating the escape.
With Bonner and the B.T.B on the loose, Franklin has become slightly less safe.
