The New Team on the Block: BGA’s Dance Program

Calling all dancers! That’s right, believe it or not, BGA has finally added a dance team to perform at basketball games. Introduced to the Wildcats in May of 2022, the dance team is up and running. Led by Elizabeth Amoroso, or “Coach Liz”, the team has been practicing after school and is preparing for their first school performance. The team welcomed all students with or without dance experience during auditions. Being fairly new, the team has about six permanent members. However, it is hoping to expand as more students hear about it. Members range from freshman to juniors with the majority of the team being freshmen. Whether it’s the small group or the struggle to find a permanent rehearsal spot, the team is determined to become well known by the community and strive each practice to get better. While issues quickly piled up, the dancers remained positive and determined to improve their dance skills. As the team improves, the girls can’t wait to perform for the first time and represent the very first dance team at BGA.
