Visual Arts Updates

The visual arts scene has had a strong start as the year has kicked off. The September photo competition has come to a close and the photographs will be shown in the CAE. 

The Scholastic Arts Competition is another great way to get involved in art competitions. Arts in all domains are accepted with categories including everything from poems to paintings. Submissions opened on September 1st. Regional, state and national awards are given in honorable mention, bronze, silver, and gold, and even potential scholarship awards. Submissions will remain open until mid-December. Winners in middle Tennessee will have their respective art pieces displayed at Cheekwood during a February showcase.
