One of the most important things about fall and winter are the amazing drinks that the seasons usher in with them. Starbucks, one of the most popular coffee franchises, has already revealed its Christmas drinks for this winter season. However, looking at the calendar, it’s still fall. This makes me question, what kind of seasonal drinks are better?
While I may have not tried every single one in the book, I love walking into a coffee shop and getting a nice cup of coffee that matches the season we are currently in. Even if this “coffee shop” tends to always be Starbucks, I enjoy most of their seasonal drinks. However, while reflecting on which one I prefer, I would have to say Christmas drinks. I’m one of those people that does not love pumpkin spice drinks. I think they’re mostly overrated and way too popular for the taste they have. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love fall– I just don’t love some of the drinks that come with it. This is why I am over-the-moon excited that Starbucks has already released its Christmas seasonal drinks.
When I think of Christmas drinks, I think of a white peppermint mocha or a toasted white chocolate mocha. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and the drinks Starbucks carries just make it ten times better. If I had to rank the seasons, fall would sadly go into second place, while winter would always obtain the win. Now I know it might be weird that I don’t like pumpkin spice drinks, but I know I am not the only one. I mean, I just feel like every fall it’s the same drink, different variations, while during the winter, it tends to change up a bit more. Now, it could be that Starbucks spends more time on its winter drinks than fall ones, but that investigation is for another time. In the end, winter drinks are better than fall drinks in many ways. Whether it’s the taste, the cute cups they come in, or the season they fall around, winter in my eyes will always win.
