Fritz’s Tour de France

By Alex Giannotti

Mr. Lauriston is finally competing in his first Tour de France after over twenty years of training. He will make his final preparations for the July 1st start date by studying all of his kinematic and dynamic equations in order to save as much gravitational potential energy as possible throughout the race. The Honors, AP Physics, and Physics classes have been working hard to make all the calculations (in Pyret) to make Mr. Lauriston’s bicycle able to sustain the most force possible. Fritz has been seen cycling rigorously around the Glen Echo campus on his favorite bicycle, what he calls his “older but best one” and tearing up his neighborhood on his other bicycle. He has even been spotted on Mack Hatcher moving even faster than the cars. The BGA community wishes him good luck and hopes the other racers have accepted their defeat.
