Fall Sports Wrap-Up

All fall sports have officially come to a close and winter sports are starting to gear up. The football teams’ season began with a playoff game against Lausanne in Memphis. The season did not end where they wanted it to, but they still had an exciting season. Thank you to the seniors Alex, Will, Evan, Jack, Ian, Jackson Hammontree, Jackson Fisher, Jeremiah, Zach, Carter and Oliver for your leadership and dedication. Also a special thanks to the senior managers Katelin, Blair, Michael, and Tai! The cheerleading team had a great season, and they were led by seniors Lucy, Miya, Erica, Evangelene, and Meghan. Both cross-country teams also had exciting seasons with four runners in the state championship! Grant Carr finished 20th in the state, and 8th grader Tibbie Cleveland finished 21st. Keira Pinto and Braden Millard finished top 15th and were acknowledged as all-state. The girl’s soccer team had a successful season and made it to the state quarterfinals. They were region champs and made it to the state tournament where they lost in a close game against USJ. Last, but certainly not least, the golf teams had a very successful season. The girls golf team sent Jackie Henderson all the way to state where she finished 3rd! The boys golf team are district, region and state champs! In the state tournament, it was a close competition between the Wildcats and the Panthers at FRA, but the Wildcats came out on top!
