Secret Cinema in Glen Echo

By Jimin Lee

The faculty and staff have been keeping a huge secret from the students for several years. While everyone was anticipating the opening of the CAE several years ago, a secret cinema was also in the works. The BGA CINEPLEX is the brand new movie theater located in the Glen Echo basement. Upon entrance, there is a box office and concessions, where you can now get service hours by volunteering. This theater is not just any theater: the BGA CINEPLEX is a 4DX auditorium with special effects like wind, rain, fog, scent and motion seats (custom-made Gucci 3D glasses provided). Additionally, there’s an orchestra pit for live accompaniment to enhance your CINEPLEX experience.

Recently, several faculty and staff have been testing out the new theater and showed great enthusiasm. However, they also voiced their worries about the Glen Echo ghost that appeared during the showing of A Quiet Place. The security have looked into the situation and have confirmed that no ghost has been spotted on the premises, but the administration is still reporting mysterious popcorn-munching sounds…

All classes will now be having designated “movie days” in which the class can go back to the good old days of Charlie Brown and The Magic School Bus in the new theater. Speaking of the good old days, don’t miss the next showing of Frozen at the BGA CINEPLEX with live accompaniment from our very own band and choir!
