Although snow is typically a rare occurrence in Tennessee, there are many prime sledding spots awaiting its arrival! In recent weeks, we have graciously been visited by a small, but lengthy snow storm. Seeing as Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow on February second this year, we are expected to have six more weeks of winter! That gives us until March 16th to hope that it might snow again soon. Assuming that it does, here are some ideas of places to sled! If none of these locations are available to you, find a hill in your own neighborhood!
Take your sled to school:
Locations include the hill next to the A & W, in front of the girls softball field. Echo Estates, and the neighborhood behind BGA.
Franklin:
If the roads aren’t too icy, take a drive to Forrest County, Westhaven, Poplar Grove, or Temple Hills.
Williamson County:
If you live in, or near Williamson County, take a trip to Lenox Village or the LaVergne High School.
Murfreesboro:
Murfreesboro has many sledding spots including the Barfield Crescent Park, Greek Row, and Rutherford Boulevard.
