As Battle Ground Academy engages in another year of learning, we welcome new students and faculty into the Wildcat community. As people often acknowledge the arrival of new students, sometimes the teacher aspect is often left out of the equation. However, teachers should always feel welcomed to the BGA community and should not only be known for their teaching, but also for their character. As a result, I volunteered to interview Ms. Waxman, a new addition to the English Department. Students and faculty should be inclined to know one another’s personality, as it helps build strong connections.

Received undergrad from Elon University and Masters from Wake Forest University in North Carolina.

Favorite Book/Book that you have read recently that you have really enjoyed?
Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania. About a passenger ship in WWI shot down by a German submarine, leading to America joining the war.
Pet Peeve?
When people tailgate. When driving and someone is too close behind you, especially when it is raining.
